2004 FA Community Shield

The 2004 FA Community Shield was a football match played on 8 August 2004 between 2003–04 Barclays Premier League champions Arsenal and 2003–04 FA Cup winners Manchester United.

Arsenal won the game 3–1. Gilberto opened the scoring in the 50th minute, before Alan Smith equalised 5 minutes later. Reyes scored another goal for Arsenal and the last goal of the game was an own goal by Mikaël Silvestre.
