666 is an album by the Japanese singer HYDE. The title is a play on words. The Japanese word for the number six is "roku" (六), which is similar to how the word "rock" is transliterated ("rokku"). So, "666" is "Rock Rock Rock". The music of 666 is mostly the polar opposite of the soft and poetic Roentgen. Where Roentgen features soft ballads and powerful emotions, 666 counters with heavy, loud rock music, such as Sweet Vanilla or Hello.
"666" may have nothing to do with true Satanism on Hyde's part (666 being symbolic of the Anti-Christ in Christianity), although he has been seen wearing necklaces of the inverted-cross variety. His favorite piece of jewelry through the years seems to be a large pentagram ring, which he owns in several varieties. (See Hyde for details)
Instead, 666 is the companion work to Roentgen, which reflects his softer side in a yin and yang style comparison, since the lyrics of the albums and some of the content of the music videos (PVs-Promotional videos) of the singles featured in them don't follow the divisions strictly. Continuing with the ying-yang analogy, Shining Over You would be the dot of Roengten's ballads among the rock of 666.
