Abbie Cornett

Abbie Cornett (b. 1966) is a Republican Nebraska state senator from Bellevue, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1966, in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha, the Nebraska Law Enforcement Academy (1993), and Bellevue University in criminal justice (2003). She is a member of the Bellevue chamber of commerce, Altrusa, Optimists, and a retired member of the Nebraska Association of Women Police and the Fraternal Order of Police.

She was elected in 2004 to represent the 45th Nebraska legislative district. She currently sits on the Business and Labor (chairperson) committee; Revenue; Urban Affairs; Committee on Committees; Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Compact Commission
