Akaoui

Akaoui is a chain of jewelry stores in Cairo, Egypt. It was founded by Elias Akaoui in the early 20th century. Only one store survived nationalization in 1956, but Nagui Akaoui, the founder's son, opened a second store in the tony Heliopolis neighborhood in the 1990's. The name Akaoui remains synonymous with fine jewelry in Egypt.
