All India Students Association

All India Students' Association (AISA), is a students' political organization formed in the early 1990s in India for advance and radical students movements at the university campuses and colleges. AISA has the link with political party- Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist)-Liberation, which was formed in 1971 and its headquarter is located in New Delhi. Since the formation, AISA has involved itself in various students’ movement for student’s welfare at educational institutions, besides proletariat society of India. It always stands with worker rights, artisans, backwards and poor sections of the Indian society. AISA participates in student’s union elections at the Universities and colleges mostly in northern India. It has won the many students union elections in prestigious universities of India; Banaras Hindu University and Jawaharlal Nehru University in the 1990s and, later in the year 2004-07 in JNU.
