Anna Claypoole Peale

Anna Claypoole Peale (March 6, 1791, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – December 25, 1878, Philadelphia) was an American painter, specializing in miniature portraits and still lifes.

She was the daughter of Mary Chambers Claypoole (1753-1829) and painter James Peale (under whom she studied), the sister of Sarah Miriam Peale and Margaretta Peale, and the niece of Charles Willson Peale.

She died in Philadelphia, where she was buried in The Woodlands Cemetery.
