Asa Wentworth Tenney

Asa Wentworth Tenney (b. May 20, 1833, Dalton, NH, d. December 10, 1897, Brooklyn, NY) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Judge Tenney attended Dartmouth College in 1859 and read law in 1863. He was nominated to the court by William McKinley on July 2, 1897, to a seat vacated by Charles L. Benedict, confirmed by the Senate on July 8, 1897, and received commission on July 8, 1897. His service terminated on December 10, 1897, due to death.
