- Boualem Bensaïd, an Algerian member of the GIA convicted of participating in a series of Islamist terror bombings in France in 1995 and now serving a life sentence for his role in them.

- Daniel Bensaïd, a French Trotskyist and philosopher born in 1946.
- Jean Daniel Bensaïd, an Algerian-born French journalist also known as Daniel Bensaïd, but who is unrelated to him.
