Bob Kelly (footballer)

Robert (Bob) Kelly (born 16 November 1893, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire) was an English professional football player. He broke the British football transfer record when he moved from Burnley to Sunderland for £6,550 in 1925. He is also regarded as fans' favourite at Huddersfield Town, which he joined in 1927.
He made 14 appearances for England between 1920 and 1928, scoring 8 goals.
He also had a spell as Carlisle United manager.
