The University of Nueva Caceres College of Computer Studies was established 7 years ago when the Computer Science majors (formerly belongs to the College of Arts and Sciences) explode its population. The College was formerly known as the College of Information Technolog which eventually changed in 2003 when the College added two new four (4) years courses namely Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelo of Science in Information Management.
Currently the College is headed by Cloyd San Juan which serves as Dean and a new course was added last 2006 when they offered 2D Animation course.
This college in the said university is one among the Colleges which has the greatest potential of improvement. As a proof, majority of the graduates are now working in their own respective fields and are professionals.
The UNC College of Computer Studies offers options to meet the needs of students who are interested in taking a four-year college degree course as well as those who plan to enter the job market directly after graduation. Students can choose from a variety of degrees, certificates, and individual courses.
The college offers courses that give students an opportunity to specialize in computers, while becoming exposed to a variety of liberal arts courses.
Three degrees of concentration are available - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Information Management (BSIM).
Certificate courses are also available, for students who choose to focus on acquiring computer skills. These are two (2) year courses in Associate in Computer Technology (ACT), Computer Technician (CT), and Network Technician (NT).
