Comprehensive History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

A Comprehensive History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Century I is a work of history compiled by B.H. Roberts, a Seventy and historian of the LDS Church.

The work originally was prepared for publication in the periodical Americana, where it appeard as The History of The Mormon Church and covered the years 1909 to 1915. It was revisited by Roberts in 1930, updated, and published in book form comprising 6 volumes with a separate index.

It is a reference work used by members of the church.

This work should not be confused with History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which consists partially of the writings of Joseph Smith, Jr., compiled, edited and added to by others. History of the Church was edited by Roberts and published in 1902 and has been nicknamed Documentary History of the Church.
