Cordoma

Cordoma is a benign tumor of the spinal cord. It principally affects the clivus, cervical spine, and sacral spine. It doesn't affects the dorso-lumbar spine. Sign and symptoms are produced due to the pressure effects of the tumor on surrounding structures viz. spinal canal, c.s.f., vertebrae, spinal nerves and ganglions, vertebral venous plexi and lymphatics. diagnosis can be established by M.R.I. or C.T. scan. Management includes decompression of spinal canal to relieve csf obstruction and codectomy.
