Daddy's Song is a song written by Harry Edward Nilsson and recorded by pop/rock band The Monkees for their 1968 album Head. It was later released as a single in 1969, but as The Monkees were losing popularity, it didn't chart. It was also used in The Monkees feature film Head, during which band member Davy Jones danced with Toni Basil. Although the song was a flop when first released, it has since gained something on a "cult following".
