Deep Katdare, born in Buffalo, New York and brought up in New York City, is a second-generation Indian American. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
He is currently pursuing acting as a career. His movie American Desi portrays the conflict between second generation Indian Americans and Indian culture. The movie was a big success both in India and abroad.[citation needed]
Recently appeared in a Law & Order:SVU episode.
