Eden growth model

The Eden growth model describes the growth of specific types of clusters such as bacterial colonies and deposition of materials. These clusters are formed as material accumulates randomly on the boundary of the system. These are also an example of a surface fractal. The model is named after M. Eden (circa 1960–1961)[1].
