The electric blue hap (Sciaenochromis fryeri) is a species of fish in the Cichlidae family. It is endemic to Lake Malawi, east Africa.

The Electric Blue is a popular aquarium fish due to its coloration. It should be kept in tanks of no less than 300 litres. It is an aggressive fish and is best to maintain one male per tank. Female coloration is entirely sandy brown with faint vertical barring.
