"Ella, elle l'a" (English: "Ella's Got It") is a single released by France Gall. It was released as a single from the album Babacar, on August 24, 1987.

Written by Michel Berger, this song is a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald. The song "swings between sheared rhythms of the bass and flashed brass".[1]
The song achieved a great success in many European countries in 1987 and 1988, reaching number one in Austria and Germany in the latter year. In France, the single was certified Silver disc by the SNEP, peaking at #2. It remained on the chart (Top 50) for 19 weeks, from October 24, 1987, and nine weeks in the top ten.[2].

Kate Ryan's version of "Ella, elle l'a" is the third single of her new album Free. It was released on May 6 in Belgium and on May 9 in the rest of Europe. It had already topped number #1 on the Swedish Itunes Chart and #9 on the Belgian Singles Chart. It also reached the top ten in Germany. It had entered the Swedish single chart at #12, peaking at #2 until nowand peaking at #30 in Los 40 of Spain.
This song was chosen to present the album, as the second single from the album, "L.I.L.Y", was only released and charted in a few countries.

In 2002, the song was covered by Emma Daumas, Eva, Aurélie Konaté, Nolwenn Leroy and Anne-Laure Sibon, four contestants of the French Star Academy 2. Their version features on the album Star Academy chante Michel Berger.[5]
