Elle Downs

Elle Downs (pronounced "Ellie") (born April 27, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actress who has appeared in film and television since 1996.

Elle Downs is a sixth generation Canadian of African Canadian and Native American (Cherokee Indian) descent. Her father was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She won the title of Miss Black Canada and went on to become a popular supporting actress in many Toronto-based films and series.

In 2000, Elle became the box office manager for the Toronto International Film Festival, and has worked in a supervisory position for the Festival since then.
