Ettelbruck (Luxembourgish: Ettelbréck, German: Ettelbrück) is a commune with city status in central Luxembourg with 7,500 inhabitants. It lies near the confluence of the rivers Sauer and Alzette. It is part of the canton of Diekirch, which is part of the district of Diekirch.
As of 2005, the town of Ettelbruck, which lies in the east of the commune, has a population of 6,191. Other towns within the commune include Warken.
Ettelbruck is a railway junction, where the line to Diekirch branches off the main line Luxembourg - Liège. Ettelbruck is an educational and medical center for the north of the country.
Ettelbruck has a General Patton museum.
