EyeMasters

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

EyeMasters is a retailer of prescription eyewear with over 160 locations in the Southern, Western, and Midwestern United States.[1] It is one of eleven store names under the Eye Care Centers of America, and one of the largest in the ECCA, managing almost half of their stores. The ECCA, started in Texas in 1988, is the third-largest optical retail chain by revenue and the largest by number of stores.[2]

Like LensCrafters, EyeMasters provides a "one-hour service," where customers can walk in, obtain an eyeglass prescription, select frames, and have glasses made during a single visit, with about a one-hour wait for construction.[3] This one-hour wait fits with the malls and strip malls in which EyeMasters stores usually reside; customers often take advantage of nearby shops as their eyewear is being constructed.
