[edit] History
HSLECJ opened on Monday, January 19, 1981 in the former George Washington School building. It became the first law enforcement special curricula high school in the United States.[1]
In 2007 Johns Hopkins University referred to HSLECJ as a "dropout factory." [2]
[edit] Location
LECJ is located at 4701 Dickson; nearby to St. Thomas High School, a private Roman Catholic high school.
[edit] School uniform
HS L.E.C.J. requires school uniforms.[3] School requires the wear of navy or white polo shirt with school insignia, and navy trousers. In the upcoming 2008-2009 school year, all students will wear navy trousers; this has not been the case in previous years, where students were permitted to wear khaki pants. On Fridays, students are permitted to wear jeans, and a friday shirt (club shirts, class shirts, etc.)
