Holidays at Home

Holidays at Home is a 2005 program released by the BBC. The short-lived first series featured six episodes before it ceased production.

[edit] Show Overview

Presenter Nicki Chapman started the show by presenting a video made by the family about to go on what they thought would be a great custom made holiday away from home. She would then get the family and tease them by taking them on a car journey in a luxury car. The journey would ultimately take them back to their house.

After getting them out of the car, she would tell them that they would be having a Holiday at Home. She would present them with a clue about what they would be doing the next day. The show would continue for six or seven days and the last day was a "surprise day" for one of the family members, which was usually based on what they said they would most like to do on holiday. Each night every person did a video diary about that day.

Each one had a different BBC production team, but Tony was the same chauffeur for all the families.
