Jaan Tallinn is an Estonian programmer participated in development of Skype and KaZaa.
A coalition of entertainment companies has filed suit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles against KaZaa, seeking to shut it down. The coalition says the service has become a "candy store of infringement," where millions of pirated copies of songs, writings, TV shows and motion pictures are available to anyone, free.
Jaan Tallinn is partner and co-founder of a development company called Bluemoon. He graduated from the University of Tartu in 1996 (BSc in Theoretical Physics). His thesis involved traveling interstellar distances using warps in space-time.
