Jee Shim Weng Chun Kuen (至善永春拳, Zhi Shan Yongchunquan), also commonly pronounced as Chi Shim Ving Tsun, is a Southern Chinese martial arts originating from Fujian province. The name "Jee Shim" refers to the founder of the system - a zen monk (至善禪師) from the Southern Shaolin Temple. [1] [2] This art is also known as Shaolin Weng Chun (少林永春) and Wing Chun White Crane (永春白鶴拳). [3] Despite the use of the Chinese term "Weng Chun" (永春), this style in practice is similar to Southern White Crane [4] but has now been considered as a branch of the more widely known art of Wing Chun in the West.
