Joseph Czebotar Carroll

Joseph Czebotar Carroll (born April 16, 1926), is an American systems engineer, and the designer of the Munston Signal Generator used extensively after the Korean War for calibrating radar installations for the US Army and by many civilian airports.
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. His parents were Joseph Thomas Carroll and Gladys Pearl (Czebotar) Carroll.
He married the former Lois Mae Fenstermacher January 13, 1950. They had three sons, Joseph Curtis Carroll, Jeffrey Charles Carroll, and Robert Clarke Carroll.
He joined the Navy during WWII and was recalled during the Korean War. He later joined IBM, retiring 35 years later as a Systems Engineer.
He is currently retired and living in Savannah, Georgia with his wife. He holds both a private and commercial pilot's license, and is a member of the United Flying Octogenarians, has been flying for 65 years, was given the key to the City of Huntsville for flying in a re-enactment of the first airmail deliveries. He is active in the CAP in Savannah, GA
