Kalvária Banská Štiavnica

Calvary in Banská Štiavnica is a complex of churchs and chapels situated near the city on the hill named Ostry vrch. In the 17. century there were jezuits. One of them, padre František Perger, came with project of calvary. In 1744 was project accredited by archbishop Imrich Esterhazy and in the same year was planted a footstone. In 1745 upper church was built and then first mass take place. Whole project was finished in 1751, when the calvary was consecrated.
