Nicholas Begich	Democrat	AL	January 3, 1971 – December 29, 1972	Disappeared on a campaign flight from Anchorage to Juneau on October 16, 1972. An official death certificate was issued December 29, 1972.
Don Young	Republican	AL	March 6, 1973 –	Elected by special election to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Nick Begich. Current United States Representative.
